Plastic chain conveyors feature a variety of ingenious chain link connection methods. A common method is pin connection, in which specially designed pins tightly join the chain links. This method is relatively easy to install and ensures a stable connection between the links during operation, resulting in a robust overall conveyor structure. It is suitable for most standard conveying applications.
Another method is the slot connection, where the chain plates are designed with precise slots that interlock with adjacent plates. This connection effectively enhances the strength between chain plates. When conveying heavy or irregularly shaped items, it better maintains the integrity of the chain plates, reducing issues such as separation caused by uneven stress distribution, thereby ensuring the conveyor operates efficiently and stably.
Furthermore, some plastic chain plate conveyors utilize a special snap-fit connection method. This connection is not only robust but also facilitates easier maintenance and replacement of chain plates. Chain plates can be removed and installed with simple operations, significantly reducing repair time and lowering maintenance costs, thereby providing convenience for the enterprise’s production operations.
